The Bosch Sensortec MEMS microspeakers provide a small, energy-efficient and easily scalable solution for wireless earphones and hearables and guarantees the best sound. Thanks to the patented and exclusively licensed Nanoscopic Electrostatic Drive (NED) technology of Fraunhofer IPMS, the sound is not generated with a membrane, but inside a silicon chip.

Some of the best sounding headphones are based on electrostatic transducers. We want to enable this high-fidelity sound experience for all types of modern in-ear audio devices, such as TWS, hearables, in-ear monitors, and hearing-aids. Driven by electrostatic forces, no fancy materials are required. Widespread CMOS fabrication processes can be used. This makes our patented MEMS µSpeaker design easy to scale for mass markets.

Our MEMS microspeakers are particularly small and thin and therefore require less space in the end device, freeing up much needed room for a growing number of sensors and increasing edge computing capacities in the small devices.
