Sensor overview for wearables

BMA530

BMA530 Sensor

The BMA530, with an advanced feature set, is the world’s smallest acceleration sensor (1.2 x0.8 x 0.55 mm³). It is especially designed for compact devices such as wearables requiring less sensor size, especially those with lower heights. It features integrated functionalities like a step counter and generic interrupts for easy use.

BMM350

BMM350 Sensor

BMM350 is a very small, high-performance, and low-current 16-bit 3-axis magnetometer. The digital sensor is ideally suited for a wide range of consumer applications such as AR/VR, head orientation, indoor navigation, magnetic compass, high-end gaming, and dead reckoning. The sensor is based on Bosch Sensortec’s proprietary TMR technology. The BMM350 magnetic sensor offers outstanding design flexibility, providing a single monolithic package solution.

BMI270

BMI270 Sensor

The low power BMI270 is an IMU optimized for wearables providing precise acceleration, angular rate measurement and intelligent on-chip motion-triggered interrupt features. The 6-axis sensor combines a 16-bit triaxial gyroscope and a 16-bit triaxial accelerometer featuring Bosch’s automotive-proven gyroscope technology. BMI270 includes several functionalities such as an integrated plug-and-play step counter/detector for wrist-worn devices. Moreover, the IMU is suitable for hearables, smart clothes, smart shoes, smart glasses and ankle bands.

BHI360

BHI360 Sensor

BHI360 is a highly integrated, ultra-low power, smart 6-axis IMU consisting of a 32-bit programmable microcontroller. In addition, it consists of an ultra-low power microprocessor, including pre-installed sensor fusion software and algorithms in a single package.

BMP585

BMP585 sensor

The BMP585 is a small, liquid-resistant, low-power, and low-noise 24-bit absolute barometric pressure sensor (3.25 x 3.25 x 1.86 mm³). It has a gel-filled cavity that allows the highest protection against water and other liquids with a suitable integration concept. The sensor can be used for applications like height measurement, water-level detection, and navigation with a maximum absolute accuracy of ±50 Pa and a temperature coefficient offset (TCO) of ±0.5Pa/K.

BME690

BME690 Sensor

The BME690 measures gas, humidity, temperature, and air pressure simultaneously and is the world’s smallest 4-in-1 air quality sensor (3 x 3 x 0.93 mm³). It is ideal for monitoring indoor air quality and can detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen.

BMV080

BMV080

The BMV080 is the world’s smallest PM2.5 air quality sensor and measures merely 4.2 x 3.5 x3.1 mm³ (W x L x H), which is more than 450 times smaller than any comparable device on the market. The miniscule size and fanless, non-intrusive design of the BMV080 are a gamechanger. It is maintenance-free, with no fan-induced dust buildup, making it more reliable and less prone to malfunction. This makes it a perfect fit for ultra-compact devices.
